UPGRADE-CN 2011 workshop is the 6th in its series to promote research in diverse fields related to Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).  The main focus of this workshop series is on the design and implementation of robust and efficient content networks in large-scale computing environments demand for the use of emerging paradigms and software technologies, such as Peer-to-Peer, Grid and the latest IT trend―Cloud computing. The integration of these emerging technologies in content delivery opens new perspectives in Internet technologies, raising new issues in the architecture, design and implementation of existing CDNs. UPGRADE-CN 2011 is intended as a forum for lively discussion of these aggressively innovative and potentially disruptive ideas in all aspects of CDNs.

The target audience includes researchers and industry practitioners those are interested in different aspects of the Internet and distributed systems, with a particular focus on the practical experiences with the design and implementation of related technologies as well as their theoretical perspectives.

The workshop proceedings will be published as part of the CCGrid 2011 conference proceedings and will appear in IEEE XploreŽ Digital Library. Selected papers from the workshop will be invited to extend for possible publication in the Journal of Internet Services and Applications (JISA), published by Springer, Germany.
